Tri- and Tetrogram Puzzles

These puzzles use the 13 tetrograms and the four trigrams. The pieces cover an area of 64 units.

Geometric Forms

Use all the pieces to make a symmetric pattern. Here are examples for the different types of symmetry. If the pieces are confined to the grid, true symmetry is impossible in the vertical axis. However, if the pieces are regarded as distorted squares, then we can treat a pattern as symmetric if the equivalent polyomino construction is.

Type of Symmetry

Full Tetrarotary Double Bilateral Reflective Double Diagonal Diagonal Birotary

Tetrogram Replicas

Fourfold replicas can be constructed for each of the thirteen tetrograms.
