Tetrahex Butterfly Problem D:

Take a full set of seven tetrahexes.

Remove the 5 (or U) piece as a body.

Using the remaining six pieces, make two identical copies of a three-piece shape for wings.

The solutions are colour coded as to which pieces are contained in the left wing, and the 2 (or J) piece is always shown in the same orientation.

Many of the solutions are closely related, with one being capable of changing to another by swapping one piece on each wing, hence the solutions are not shown in numeric order. (Note that there may be more than one solution for a given shape, but only one example is shown.) Patterns marked with an asterisk courtesy of George Sicherman.
