Tetra- and Pentatwig Puzzles

These puzzles use the 4 tetratwigs and 12 pentatwigs. The pieces cover 76 unit line segments.

       Use all pieces to make a symmetric pattern. Here are examples for the different types of symmetry. Click the images below to see example puzzles and solutions.

Double Bilateral Horizontal Vertical Birotary

Pairs

 

       Use all the pieces to make two identical copies of a pattern. Pairs can be assembled to form a single symmetric figure, with the exception of horizontally symmetric pairs, which cannot be connected. Here are examples for the different types of symmetry. Quadruplets

Use all the pieces to make four identical copies of a pattern.

Full Sextarotary Ternary & Horizontal Ternary & Vertical Trirotary Double Bilateral Horizontal Vertical Birotary

Triplets

       Leave out one of the tetratwigs and use the other pieces to make three copies of a pattern, covering 72 unit line segments. The three pieces can be combined to form a single symmetric shape.
